La Renault Megane Cabriolet a été dessinée et transformée sur la base du coupé par le carrossier Allemand Karman et assemblée sur le site Alpine Dieppe pour faire son apparition en 1997 en concession. Elle aura le droit aux mêmes motorisations que le coupé à part les moteurs diesels qui ne lui seront jamais greffés. Il a éte produit entre 1996 et 2003 "73719" cabriolet megane (source Alpine Dieppe)

Elle peut recevoir en option un road box élément de carrosserie amovible qui s'installe sur les siéges arriére et permet de transformer en 10 minutes ce cabriolet 4 places en un roadster 2 places a l'allure plus sportive et en gagnant par la même occasion un second coffre.

Son catalogue propose aussi un filet anti-remout dans le but d'éviter les perturbations dues au vent à ses passagers avant. Il se monte facilement sur le cabriolet, il est possible de le monter avec le road box.
